One Perspective
I. The Christian strives toward Christ-likeness. (See 1 Peter 2:21; Philippians 3:14; Romans 12:1-2).
II. We take nothing material with when we leave this old world. (Job 1:21). All we will have in Heaven are the spiritual crowns we have won or earned through our service.
III. Spiritual Crowns:
IV. The crowns which we possess will be all we will have to cast at the feet of Jesus, the Dear Lamb of God Who made it all possible! (See Revelation 4:10). Then we will join in the Heaven-wide Song of Praise, "Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and honor, and blessing! Blessing, and honor, and power, be unto Him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever! Amen! (Revelation 5:11-14).
